Intricate, delicate Pinot Noir from hero of the Alsace, JP Rietsch. Bristling with forest fruits and a gentle spark of smoke, a beautiful line of acidity.
Biodynamically farmed. Aromatic, sappy and juicy. Wild hedgerow fruits and pink peppercorns. Soft, supple and generous. Jean-Delobre was an outlier in the region until everyone realised he does things the right way for a reason.
Pleine Lune is a south-facing slope, among the warmest of the farm's parcels of Syrah. Aged for 12 months in large 600l barrels. Softer and supple. Plump, juicy fruit held together with a beautiful through-line of acidity. No additions.

The oldest vines on the farm, planted in 1974 from massal selection, on shallow soils close to the Premier Quartier parcel. Perhaps the fullest-bodied of the vintage. Deep cassis is highlighted by spice and a beautifully integrated acidity. As always, no matter how bold Jean's wines get, they're never heavy-going. Fine-boned tannic structure.
The lightest of the Roche B family, Jeanne is always a very short maceration, the free-run juice is bled twice at 24 hour intervals, and on the third day it's pressed gently. Bright, bouncy and fresh, almost like a deep rosé with good structure, super versatile and enjoyable.
The second-lightest of the Roche B family, Premices is dazzlingly beautiful, quite unlike anything we’ve tried recently - a short maceration, pressed gently. Here sappy, brambly fruit is lifted with a livewire acidity, fleshed out with a briney salted-liquorice undertone. Quite something.
Picked from parcels about 30 years old and from the warmer ‘20 vintage, Flonflons has a little more flesh on its bones, juicy fruit and an underlying savoury, mineral line. Great all-rounder of a wine offering both a bit more heft whilst retaining a crunchy, fresh structure.
A special wine from their highest parcel. Gaia is like a reverse of Le Claux: Syrah from the same parcel, except 30 years old, and 10% of their 70-year-old Grenache. A two week maceration, raised in concrete for a year, it's very velvety, beautiful tannins, heady aromatics, and a long, mineral line.

Lori’s top red cuvee, from his oldest vines (90-100 years) planted in between the large limestone pebbles that give the wine it’s name. Worked delicately, this is supple and regal, heady with violets and spice: wonderfully accomplished winemaking.

Rare 100 year old vines of a lost Languedoc grape Oeillade, dubbed the Pinot of the South. 2021 was a cooler vintage, so the wine is fresher and more supple, but without losing any of it rustic, southern charms. Great value.
Dedicated to the bats that produce the guano used to fertilise the vineyards. Made with a grape not often produced in still wines. Whole bunch carbonic maceration, aged in steel and barrel on full lees until bottling. Fruity, mineral with great depth.

Not your everyday ‘faceless’ Dolcetto. This is a less typical, more lively, nimble-footed autumnal Italian red. Think tomato, sage, and black olive, with a lift-off of acidity. Delicious.
Francesco Pozzobon (Tenuta Foresto) is a young winemaker farming eight hectares in Nizza Monferrato on chalky limestone. Working for a while in London and developing a love of natural wine at the much-loved Terroirs, Francesco had dreams of working with Barbera and was finally able to settle in its spiritual home: the Piedmont.
Inspired by Masunobu Fukuoka, Francesco aims for minimal input agriculture; leaving natural systems to their own accord for the benefit of the whole vineyard. He works with zero or minimal additions in the cellar.
