A Vineyard Walk & Dinner From 3pm Saturday August 3
On Saturday August 3, we're thrilled to invite you to join us again at the edge of the Romney Marshes for a very special dinner with our friends Ham Street Wines alongside their vines.
Lucie & Jules at Ham Street represent so much of what excites us when it comes to the homegrown community of growers in the UK. Deep attention to detail with their organic and biodynamic viticulture, a genuine commitment to improving the health of their land, and joyful, detailed wines, full of life.
A long, lazy afternoon in the vines celebrating wine and food. You'll arrive at 3:30 for a leisurely stroll through the vines with Lucie & Jules to learn more about what they do, before we sit together in the early-evening sun for glasses of their pet-nat and snacks, followed by three courses and wines made from the surrounding fruit, served by the jug and bottle.
Being early August the site will be alive with cover crops, wildflowers, and bunches of grapes racing along to maturity, a truly celebratory environment and one of the joys of the growing season. You can expect a menu that enjoys the spoils of summer, bright, easy dishes to play off the vibrant wines of Lucie & Jules.
Tickets are £60 and include a welcome drink, snacks and three courses.
We do hope you can join us for what promises to be a wonderful summer's evening in the countryside.
We're very excited that on Sunday January 14, our good friend and neighbour Spasia Dinkovski aka Mystic Burek will be returning to the 161 kitchen for a feast to celebrate Balkan Old New Year!
