Favonio 2022
Favonio 2022
Skin contact moscato from the Piedmont. Great energy, opulent stone fruit, fleshy grapefruit, dried fruits. Complex, aromatic (it’s moscato!), brilliantly delicious. Very well balanced and with the right amount of body to go well with just about everything (especially cured meats, cheese, and dishes with some spice.)
Francesco Pozzobon (Tenuta Foresto) is a young winemaker farming eight hectares in Nizza Monferrato on chalky limestone. Working for a while in London and developing a love of natural wine at the much-loved Terroirs, Francesco had dreams of working with Barbera and was finally able to settle in its spiritual home: the Piedmont.
Inspired by Masunobu Fukuoka, Francesco aims for minimal input agriculture; leaving natural systems to their own accord for the benefit of the whole vineyard. He works with zero or minimal additions in the cellar.
