What We're Drinking: October.

Can't move for sodden leaves underfoot. This season would be our favourite if it could Just👏Stay👏Dry👏. Nevertheless, we're optimistic about Autumn and have been bringing these wines home recently to channel the aromatics of a fresh, DRY Autumn day directly to our glass. Has someone lit a bonfire over the hill already?

What's In The Case?

Melaric ' Tandem Rouge' - 2019
Aymeric & Melanie farm 4.5 hectares organically in the Loire commune of Saumur Puy-Notre-Dame. With vines grown on white chalk soils, their reds have excellent minerality. Aymeric loves Grolleau as a varietal, 60% of the blend here. Cab-Franc brings minerality & crunch, Grolleau lifts with it's bright aromatics.

La Grange Aux Belles 'Les Moyens Du Bord' - 2019
100% Chenin Blanc from Marc Houtin & co at La Grange Aux Belles. Their 14ha estate is farmed organically, using herbal infusions against mildew, vinified with minimal SO2. The project now features some of the leading lights of Angers' natural wine haunts; the wines drinkability betrays the group's combined experience on both sides of the bar. Fresh, energetic, direct Chenin.

2P Production 'Meskine Contact' - 2018
Fanny Papelard & Romain Plageoles farm 2 hectares organically in Cahuzac-sur-Vere, near Gaillac. Committed to making wines from indigenous varietals, their wines are leading the historic winemaking region into the future; whilst respecting tradition. Meskine is a blend of Savvy B & Loin de l'Oeil, co-fermented with 5/6 days of skin contact. Bristling with tropical fruit, aromatic and smoky.
