The Zombie Food Festival: February Events

 

It's back, again! We're so pleased to announce the return of our Zombie Food Festival - a series of events here at 161 throughout February celebrating the magic of fermentation. Tickets are available via the links below.

There's A LOT going on this year, beginning this weekend with a fermentation workshop led by our Josh Berry, quickly followed by all manner of delights to get stuck into:

Josh Berry's Intro to Fermentation Workshop: Learn the basics to prepare your own ferments home, whilst we prepare a jar of veggies together to ferment at home. Sunday 4.

Paris Barghchi's IT'S ALIVE Wine Workshop, 5 wines to taste to go further into the wild world of fermentation in its many forms. Saturday 10.

Jane Wilbraham's DIG IT Composting Workshop - a deep dive (hopefully not too literally) into the magic of composting, priceless advice to be discovered for budding growers. Saturday 17.

Aga Czarnota's Pierogi Workshop - learn to make your own Pierogi, have them cooked for you by Josh, served with fermented beetroot soup and lots of good Polish vodka. Then take more of your Pierogi home! Wednesday 28.

Alongside these we'll have our Neighbourhood Fermentation Competition again on Saturday 24, OPEN TO ALL and by way of celebration on Sunday 25 the return of Odd Sundays - serving Kimchi toasties, lots of wine, with live DJ's from 12pm - 8pm. No reservations!
